From the supplier: Baker Furniture Co.'s reputation for building well-crafted antique-style furniture is attributed to the efforts of former company president Hollis S. Baker. Baker, who assumed the presidency in 1925, made frequent trips to Europe in search of furniture designs to be used as basis for Baker products. His accumulation of over 1,500 pieces of furniture also led to the creation of the Baker Museum for Furniture Research in 1941.
